HBO Orders Sarah Silverman Comedy Pilot
According to Variety, HBO has given a pilot order to an untitled comedy toplined by Sarah Silverman. she will play “a pathologically honest woman having a modern mid-life crisis.”
The single-camera comedy was scripted by Lucy Prebble (“Secret Diary of a Call Girl”), who executive produces with Silverman, Ash Atalla, Amy Zvi and Dan Hine.
Silverman is coming off an Emmy win this year, for writing in a variety special, for her 2013 HBO comedy spesh “We Are Miracles.” She ranks as one of the biz’s most prominent comedians, but she’s also recently branched out into drama.
She previously worked with HBO on the comedy special “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles,” for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.
