Comedy Central to Roast Justin Bieber "Dreams do come true"

Comedy Central has found their new subject to following in James Franco's roasted footsteps--and it's Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is the kind of celebrity that just inspires symphonies of hatred. The one-time YouTube celebrity has become one of the most popular (in certain circles) music sensations on the scene. But let’s be honest, you probably despise this 20-year-old kid. Well, you’re in luck, because the Canadian singer has agreed to let that vitriol go mainstream. From your Twitter feed and into your living room, Justin Bieber will have the dishonor of being the star of the next Comedy Central roast. “Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first,” said Kent Alterman, president of Comedy Central’s Content Development and Original Programming. “We’re thrilled he listened.” Bieber’s roast allows him to join the not-so- prestigious ranks of Flavor Flav, William Shatner, Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Bob Saget, Charlie Sheen, and Joan Rivers to sit in the hot seat. Just last year, James Franco got similar treatment when co-stars and colleagues alike came out to slow-cook the supposed renaissance man. No roast master or host has been selected, but that and a date are surely forthcoming.
