And just when you thought it was safe to consider teddy bears cute, harmless play things for children, Seth MacFarlane has returned.
Surviving what was an unexpectedly rough and tumble ride through Monument Valley with A Million Ways to Die in the West, MacFarlane returns relatively unscathed to a franchise that birthed the most successful R-rated comedy of all time. Yes, Ted 2 is upon us with all the foul-mouthed debauchery one can expect from a teddy bear.
In the sequel, Mila Kunis is out and Amanda Seyfried is in, but the core dynamic of Ted (MacFarlane voicing the CGI critter) and his slacker best friend (Mark Wahlberg) remains the same. Together, they face a new challenge as Ted gets political when he learns he is not allowed to have children under the current rule of law. Taking his case to D.C., they team up with Seyfried and even Morgan Freeman to do battle with the justice system. Undoubtedly, MacFarlane will have ample ammunition for his soapbox this year, but lest you worry it gets preachy, the trailer also promises ass jokes and getting drenched in gallons of semen. Yep, this is definitely MacFarlane.
The film also reunites director MacFarlane with his Ted writing team of Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. Ted 2 opens on June 26, 2015.
