Samuel L. Jackson Up for Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Film

Tim Burton's film of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is adding Samuel L. Jackson in a newly-created role...

Tim Burton's most recent film, Big Eyes, may not have made the splash that many were expecting, but there are still merits to it that make it worth seeking out. As for the director himself, he's moving onto his next film, the big screen adaptation of Ransom Riggs' Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children.

Jane Goldman has been working on the script for this one, and 20th Century Fox has already earmarked a release date of March 4th, 2016. And not for the first time in Tim Burton's adaptations of popular books, a new character is being introduced solely for the film version. The role in question is Barron, about whom very little is known. And Deadline is reporting that Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to take the part on.

If he signs on the dotted line, then he'll join a cast that also includes Asa Butterfield and Eva Green. Jackson is currently shooting The Hateful Eight with Quentin Tarantino, and the plan will presumably be to schedule Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children after that...
