Gina Carano joins Deadpool Movie
Real-life badass Gina Carano is going to bring some action to the Deapool movie!
Gina Carano has joined the cast of the Deadpool movie as Angel Dust, a minor X-Men related character who was one of the Morlocks. This isn't a lot of information to go on at the moment, but here's what we can extrapolate from this:
First, Angel Dust wasn't in any of the drafts of the Deadpool movie that we've read. While the basic story is probably still pretty similar, it's unsurprising that a movie that spent so long in development hell has undergone some rewrites. However, the recent word is that Colossus is still in the movie, so that means there are still at least some similarities with the very funny scripts we read. Second, this probably isn't the biggest of parts. This isn't the female lead that a casting shortlist surfaced for the other day, that's for sure.
Third, regardless of the size of the role, Ms. Carano will probably get to do some serious ass-kicking, which is nice. It might be fun to see her dish out some punishment to Deadpool considering the beatings he can take. Ms. Carano will complete work on Bruce Willis action flick Extraction before she starts on this one, though.
Meanwhile, we're now less than a year away from the Deadpool movie, which opens on February 12th, 2016. Can you believe it?
