Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series News: Voice Cast Announced
The Guardians of the Galaxy animated series has started to announce its voice cast. We'll update this with each new announcement!
And to think that only a year ago, the prospect of a Guardians of the Galaxy movie seemed like a ridiculously risky idea. Wrong! An improbable run of box-office success later, there's a sequel on the way, a best-selling soundtrack, and now, an animated series. A Guardians of the Galaxy animated series will come to Disney XD in 2015.
We'll put all the info out there on the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series on this page. For now, they've just started announcing the cast, so let's get started...

Test Footage
There was test footage unveiled at the 2014 New York Comic-Con. Check it out to get an idea of what the series is about:
"The movie and franchise quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. We're looking forward to working with the great team at Marvel Television to deliver an engaging animated series that fans can enjoy each week," said Marc Buhaj, Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD.
"This is a very exciting time for the Marvel Animation Studio as we get to explore the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe by developing the first-ever 'Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy' animated series," said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television. "After starring in the biggest movie of 2014, everyone wants more of Star-Lord and his crew – now they'll get it."
Guardians of the Galaxy will likely be similar in tone to current Marvel animated series like Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of SMASH. It's not for everyone. These series look great and are action-packed, but tend to skew a little young. Nothing wrong with that, but don't expect any Jackson Pollack jokes in this one.
