Lady Gaga will star in American Horror Story season 5 because of course she will.
Lady Gaga, who has recently reinvented herself yet again as a purveyor of standards and showtunes (her stuff with Tony Bennett was pretty great, actually) is taking her first starring role on TV. Of course, we're talking about a Ryan Murphy production, because why wouldn't we? That's right, Lady Gaga will star in American Horror Story season 5.

Personally, I hope it's a Phantom of the Opera riff with Gaga hiding in the wings of some crazy music venue/resort in Vegas, visiting horrific revenge on romantic rivals. Well, not really, but this is the life I have chosen, and that wouldn't be the weirdest thing this show has attempted.
