So much attention has been paid to the returning Avengers being at each others’ throats in recent Avengers: Age of Ultron trailers that one can be forgiven for missing that we have two new superheroes entering the fray. Assuming of course, that they are in fact heroes…
With its newest featurette, Avengers: Age of Ultron turns a spotlight on Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, the famed twins of the superhero squad who you may or may not be allowed to be call mutants, depending on the superhero franchise that you are currently watching. In the video, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, as well as director Joss Whedon, talk about their superpowered abilities and what each character is bringing to the newest adventure (note: apparently not a father).
But perhaps most interesting, as judging from the new footage revealed in the video, not only will they be working with Ultron for at least part of the picture, but they will be using their abilities to turn the Avengers against themselves.
Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and probably a kitchen sink at some point too. It opens on May 1, 2015.
