Rainbow Six: Siege 'Operator' Trailer

Ubisoft's revival of Rainbow 6 may have dropped off your radar, but here's a new trailer to get it back on track...

Since it was announced at E3, Rainbow 6: Siege hasn't been in the public eye much, something Ubisoft is about to rectify with a new trailer and details of the collector's edition.

The new trailer, which is based upon Alpha code, shows us a lot of what we've already seen via the E3 demo, and further emphasises the game's focus on siege mentality tactics, such as barricading entrances and marshalling hostages as a hostage taker, or breaching and clearing as the Rainbow team. It's looking good, but it'll be nice to see gameplay based upon more advanced code.

At E3 the game looked very promising, and the unique spin on multiplayer the game delivers still has us excited, as long as the final game lives up to the hype. Long before the game release, and true to the publisher's form, we also have details of the special edition. Called the Art Of Siege Edition, this will come with a collector's box and a 120 page tactical guide, as well as gold weapons skins. It's a little tame compared to some of Ubisoft's previous collector's editions, but there's still time for another two or three options to surface.

Those who pre-order the game will be granted access to the closed beta, which will launch later this year, and if you pre-order via Uplay, you'll also get a special steelbook case when the game arrives.

Rainbow 6: Siege will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a date to be confirmed.
