Sinister 2 Trailer Has Arrived
Watch the new trailer for Sinister 2, which features the arrival of Bughuul (Mr. Boogie) in a new setting with a new family.
If you see Bughuul, the apparent pagan deity that the budding Sinister franchise is built around, it means that someone is about to die. Well, get ready to make space in the obituaries, because Mr. Boogie is coming back with a vengeance.
In the new trailer for Sinister 2, death comes in the guise of a pagan being that attracts children to commit mass slaughter upon their whole families. However, since we know that little twist from the previous film, it makes one wonder where they can go next with the conceit. At least the killer child nod to Night of the Living Dead is a nice touch.
When a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon) moves into a rural home with her two nine-year-old sons (Robert and Dartanian Sloan), she has little understanding of what Baughuul is—but the creature knows much about them as it has marked her family, and most especially her sons, for consumption and death.
Sinister 2 is written by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill (who wrote the first one, which Derrickson also directed), and it is directed by Citadel’s Ciaran Foy. Mr. Boogie will be haunting movie screens on August 21, 2015.
