The Last Witch Hunter Starring Vin Diesel: First Trailer
Vin Diesel trades in his automatic for a flaming sword, then trades it back again in The Last Witch Hunter trailer.
What is this, witch season? Not as in Season of the Witch, but more like duck season rabbit season with Vin Diesel as Elmer Fudd with a flaming anti-witch Excalibur sword. There are witch hunters on Salem, on Penny Arcade, I mean Penny Dreadful, I think I saw one on Game of Thrones the other night, hissing at the Red Queen acolyte.
Michael Caine gives Diesel the sword, though Vin backslides for some heavy firepower against some sexy witches, who are getting a bad rap.
Diesel is The Last Witch Hunter. The new anti-wiccan flick from The Crazies director Breck Eisner. Diesel plays the immortal warrior Calder who was cursed to live after killing the Queen Witch. Now that the Queen Witch has been reanimated, she revenge and she’s taking it out on New York City.
"Your story has no ending," they tell us, so grab plenty of popcorn. Vin Diesel is most known now for The Fast and Furious movies, but he’s also starred in Riddick, The Pacifier with the Gilmore Girls’ Lauren Graham, Guardians of the Galaxy and, my personal favorite, the gangster trial film Find Me Guilty.
The official thingy up there on YouTube says “Vin Diesel plays the last remaining witch hunter who must battle against an uprising of witches in modern day New York. The Last Witch Hunter also stars Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood and Michael Caine."
The Last Witch Hunter hits theaters October 23, 2015.
