Bradley Cooper is joining the CBS drama

Another big movie star is headed to the small screen. Bradley Cooper is coming to CBS...

Television is attracting Hollywood’s biggest stars lately, that’s no secret. CBS, at least for a quick go of it, has signed on maybe the brightest star in Hollywood, Bradley Cooper. The actor is joining the TV adaptation of his 2011 film, Limitless, for a recurring role.

In a nice way of handing off the plot from the film to the TV series, Cooper is reprising his role as a struggling writer who developed super-human abilities thanks to a mysterious drug called NZT. The Edward Mora character is now a senator and presidential hopeful who is still a regular user of NZT. The TV series centers around Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman), who discovers the brain-boosting power of NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them.

Cooper is no doubt a big get for CBS, who could help bring younger viewers to the network. The strategy seemed to be a clear goal of their new programming slate, which includes Supergirl. Limitless is set to air Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
