Next Planet of the Apes Film Has a Title
According to reports, Planet of the Apes 3 now has an official title, and it may be what you expected...
Collider is reporting that it has now learned the title of the third Planet of the Apes film. According to their sources, the film will be called War of the Planet of the Apes.
The title isn't very surprising since Dawn of the Planet of the Apes ended with the war between the apes and humans about to begin. So, you know, no one fall over from shock.
The site also spoke to Matt Reeves, director of the upcoming film, about the what's in store for the third film: "[War of the Planet of the Apes] is about him becoming the seminal figure for ape history. [It’s] like myth ascension, him becoming the ape Moses, for lack of a better sort of character to model him after."
War of the Planet of the Apes opens July 14, 2017.
