Supergirl TV Series Trailer

CBS launched the trailer for the Supergirl TV series and you can watch it right here.

The first trailer for the CBS Supergirl TV series is here! Coming from Arrow and The Flash mastermind Greg Berlanti and Chuck's Ali Adler, Supergirl is CBS' first foray into costumed superheroics since the original The Flash TV series went off the air in 1991.

Here's the official synopsis from CBS:

Supergirl, airing Mondays 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT starting in November, is CBS's new action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics' character Kara Zor-El, Superman's (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Kara lives in National City, assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), who just hired the Daily Planet's former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), as her new art director. However, Kara's days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) the head of a super-secret agency where her foster sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow), Ali Adler, Sarah Schecter and Andrew Kreisberg are executive producers for Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was directed by Glen Winter (Arrow).

Supergirl will begin airing on CBS in early November. They've given the show a Monday night at 8 pm slot, putting it squarely up against Gotham. That's quite a move.

I'm guessing Supergirl premieres on November 2nd. CBS switches their schedule around based on their deal with the NFL for Thursday Night Football. They'll move the Monday night comedies to Thursdays after their final Thursday Night Football broadcast (which is October 29th), and from there the schedule flips. That first Monday is November 2nd...so that's probably when we'll get to meet Supergirl!
