Street Fighter 5: Behold M. Bison in This New Trailer

The man behind Shadaloo returns yet again and he has a lot of new tricks in his repetoire. Take a peak at this gameplay trailer.

It’s Tuesday and no Street Fighter character is more synonymous with the day than M. Bison.

No, really...that’s a thing. How fitting that Capcom would choose today to showcase his new gameplay trailer for Street Fighter V, where he joins Ryu, Chun-Li, and the Winter Soldier/Frankenstein’s Monster version of Charlie.

Bison (or “Dictator” if you’re one of those fans) may be virtually immortal due to his ability to keep his soul active past death so he can possess new bodies, but it seems even he falls victim to aging. Check out his white hair. Running an international terrorist organization must lead to some serious stress.

Bison’s play style is shockingly different than what we're used to. A lot of his trademarks are still there. The front-flip kick, the stomp, the purple Psycho Power, and so on. It’s just that his fighting style is very teleportation-based, plus he has projectiles and projectile-catching moves tossed in. His iconic Psycho Crusher is now a super only, which is something that hasn’t been seen since the Street Fighter Alpha days.

Ever since first appearing in Street Fighter II back in 1991, M. Bison has been one of the two main antagonists of the series along with Akuma. He’s appeared in the Alpha series and various crossovers with Street Fighter II meant to be the story that killed off the character for good. Due to his popularity, they nixed that idea and brought him back for Street Fighter IV.

Street Fighter V will be arriving on PlayStation 4 and PC in April of 2016.
