New Trailer for The End of the Tour
We have the first look at the David Foster Wallace-focused biographical drama The End of the Tour.
A new trailer has been released for The End of the Tour, a bio-drama centering on author David Lipsky’s travels and conversations with literary giant David Foster Wallace.
David Foster Wallace is perhaps the most influential author of the last 20 years. Over the course of his essays, short stories, and landmark post-modernist novels like Infinite Jest, readers were only able to get a brief glimpse at the author’s staggering genius, an inimitable voice that was lost too soon to suicide in 2008.
The End of the Tour stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lipsky, who follows Jason Segel’s David Foster Wallace for five days while on a book tour for Infinite Jest, the novel that would rocket Wallace to national stardom. The film, directed by James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now), has already ran the festival circuit and has received positive reviews, specifically for Segel’s portrayal of the late, misunderstood author.
