Mortal Kombat X: Tanya Release Trailer
Edenia's resident backstabber finds her way into Mortal Kombat X as a playable character in new DLC.
Mortal Kombat X is about to get another shot in the arm. Starting tomorrow, Tanya will be available to anyone who bought the Kombat Pack season pass. For everyone else, she’s available as of June 9th.
Since the game’s release, Tanya has existed as an opponent who pops up a couple times in story mode, albeit in an unfinished package where her moves and stances are cribbed from others. Now she’ll be her own woman as shown in this trailer.
It’s hard to really pick out her variations other than her having a bladed staff for one of them. Those spinny blades might be exclusive to one style or they’re just a regular thing. Anyway, digging that dash-based air attack combo early on.
Unlike the other three downloadable Kombatants, Tanya doesn’t bring too much excitement with her inclusion. Back when we did our ranking of the entire Mortal Kombat cast (not counting guest characters), Tanya ranked at 68 out of 73 names. Ouch. Maybe this fresh coat of paint can do some wonders for her.
With Tanya comes the Klassic skins pack where you can play as Mortal Kombat 1 versions of Liu Kang, Kano, and Sonya Blade.
With Jason Voorhees and Tanya released, that only leaves the Predator and Tremor. Due to some delays, there’s no word how long until we can get our hands on those two.
