Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - E3 Gameplay Trailer

Sony has unveiled a 7-minute gameplay for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Take a look within...

Arguably Sony's biggest exclusive for the PlayStation 4, Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is still well over a year away. But that hasn't stopped the studio from stoking the fires of anticipation at Sony's E3 2015 Media Briefing with a lengthy look at the sequel's gameplay, which looks both familiar and surprising at the same time.

This demo shows us Nathan and Sully shooting their way through a market while getting shot at, as is their style. We also see a bit of the driving in the game:

Nathan Drake's still climbing cliffs and exploring caves, of course, but the major difference this time is that, unless we're mistaken, there's far more scope for exploration than in the earlier games, which gently ushered the player along prescribed paths with a range of subtle and not-so-subtle signposts.

The adventure sees Drake set off to find a pirate treasure, which in turn is linked to some kind of centuries-old conspiracy. Mostly, though, it's all about climbing, dangerous jumps, and lots of shooting.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is coming in 2016.
