Resident Evil 2 Remaster Confirmed by Capcom

Capcom has announced that it's remastering Resident Evil 2 for current-gen consoles.

Can't say we didn't see this one coming:

Capcom has announced its plans to remaster Resident Evil 2 for current-gen consoles, a move that comes on the heels of the Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster announcement.

In fact, the company has spent a lot of time remastering of late. This year, it released Resident Evil HD Remaster, DMC Remastered, and Devil May Cry 4 HD Remaster, and will release the Mega Man Legacy Collection on Aug. 25. Notice a pattern here?

Well, it looks like Capcom is really interested in bringing a lot of the classics back for new generations of gamers, and who are we to argue against that? I'm not going to lie: I want to play Resident Evil 2 Remastered as much as the next guy.

Anyway, here's the announcement from Capcom:

No release date has been set yet, but we imagine this game will come after Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster, which is due out in Early 2016.
