The Martian: New Trailer
The second trailer for Ridley Scott's The Martian has arrived, and it looks great!
Ridley Scott's latest sci-fi film is The Martian, the story of an astronaut stranded on Mars after a failed NASA operation on the planet. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir.
The film is a logical transition for Scott, who has, up to this point, mostly tackled soft science fiction stories for his movies. But The Martian seems to be way more about established (or plausible) scientific concepts. As you can see from the trailer below, Matt Damon is going to have to science the shit out of this bad situation:
With only meager supplies, the astronaut must draw upon his ingenuity, wit, and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission.
The Martian features a star studded cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Peña, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Donald Glover.
