Supergirl Takes On Alien Nemesis in New Trailer
Kara Zor-El repels an extraterrestrial enemy in the latest Supergirl promo.
The latest trailer for Supergirl, titled “Her Story,” gives us a brief overview of Kara Zor-El’s (Melissa Benoist) life and powers, along with a look at one of her enemies -- who also happens to come from another planet, just like Kara herself. His world, however, seems decidedly not up on current events: “On my planet, females bow before males,” he sneers, to which Kara retorts, “This is not your planet.”
Benoist has charisma to spare, and the superhero visuals look pretty spectacular for TV, but I still can’t figure out what the tone of the show will be. Will it be too cute for the room or a noble new spin on one of DC’s major female characters? We’ll find out when the CBS series premieres on October 26.
