Allegiant Teaser Trailer: The World Beyond The Wall
Tris, Four, and the gang scale the wall in this first teaser trailer for Allegiant, the penultimate film in the Divergent franchise.
The penultimate installment in the Divergent film series, Allegiant, is coming in March, and Lionsgate has just released the teaser trailer. The first two-thirds of it are more-or-less a recap of what happened to protagonist Tris (Shailene Woodley) in the first two films of the series. If you missed it, basically, Tris is super special and can be described by more than one adjective.
In Divergent and Insurgent, our protagonists live in a dystopian Chicago. Come the end of Insurgent, Tris is given a message from the outside world: Tris' entire society has been an experiment to produce a divergents, people who don't fit into the experiment's rigid social structure. Now that divergents like Tris have been created, they are expected to venture past the wall surrounding Chicago to rejoin humanity. Or something.
The trailer does give us a sneak peek of what the world on the otherside of that wall surrounding Chicago might look like. It is very red. There is still tons of action. Also, Jeff Daniels is there and he wants Tris to help him save the world. Achievable goals, you know?
